A pertinent parable- who are you?

there was this group of individuals, with backgrounds in diet and nutrition, who began to study the effects of food on the human body.

over many decades, they continued their study, along with publishing many books on the subject.

adherents to their beliefs believed the information so wholeheartedly, and believed that the effects of the diet were so positive, that they told all their friends and family members, neighbors, and even strangers about it.

Ran into "bible student" , told by Sis. Holy" SHE WAS NOT GONNA MAKE IT"..

today at the grocery store , i ran into a lady that has been studying with the jw's for years,,,,,,,, i mean 10 years or more.

she was a prostitute, a crack addict, you name it this lady did it.

she is 40 something at least and is raising her two youngest children, 3 and 4 yrs.

After reading that post I can't think of one thing that I would have changed.

You handled it wonderfully!

I also think that what motivated you to say what you said is wonderful as well.

You didn't approach her because you were bitter at the JW's.

You didn't go to her to persuade her to your line of thinking.

It seemed that you approached her because you genuinely wanted to ease her pain and help her.

And that is in such stark contrast to what motivated us, well, at least what motivated me many times when I went in field service.

i was motivated to get my hours in. Sometimes otherwise, but mostly it was the hours and it was a thing I had to do.

Here, you wanted to help ease someone's pain.

I haven't formed many answers for bible Q's that I have now, but I am sure of one thing:

That your attitude and the way you approached her was in the spirit of what I would envision as a true, Christ-like spirit

i know that my grandmother died before her time because she refused a transfusion that could have saved her life long enough to see her grandson get married.

i know there was nothing i could have told my cousin back in high school when he said he didn?t want to disobey god by taking blood to fight his leukemia but even more importantly didn?t want to die.

i know i have a cousin whose wife loves him but unlike most couples doesn?t expect to spend forever with her husband because he?s the only one that will be going to heaven.

meg ryan is an american actress who sometime in the recent past had some kind of facelift or something.

i was channel surfing and caught a glimpe of her new visiage.

she's changed her hair color a bit, and i have no problem with that.. here's my opinion:.

joseph was 30 when pharo gave him egypt,why because he prefigured jesus, david was 30 when god made him king,why because he prefigured jesus.why was jesus 30 when god gave him his ministry,because thats the age adam was when god gave him eve.. why would god put all of these scriptures in the bible if adam was only 25 or 26 when god made eve.

gen 41:46 num 4:3 num 4:23 2sam 5:4 1chron 23:3 luke 3:23 adam was the first king.

an age god decided a man was of age.because if jesus was 30 and adam was only 25 then the devil has a legal case that god is cheating, that jesus had longer to develop than adam.
